Join the African American Community Service Agency (AACSA) and the community at large for a discussion on reparations and how you can get involved.

In light of recent discussions to build a new jail in Santa Clara County, we want to highlight community voices surrounding the topic of incarceration and mental health. Mental health cases within the Black community are often overlooked and those with serious mental health illnesses are criminalized instead of being rehabilitated. Similarly, mental health cases are disproportionately high among the Black community. We want to create a space to discuss the correlation between incarceration and mental health, talk about alternatives to incarceration, and how the current system could be more humane.

The objective is to provide an educational experience for aspiring professionals to learn the best tips, strategies, and practices to have a successful interview with prospective employers.

Family Fun Friday is a program that aims to create a fun, inclusive and safe environment for families to help them strengthen their communal relationships, as well as engage with AACSA staff.

Black economic empowerment starts with education through sharing information and resources. AACSA has invited local financial leaders to share information for the development of individual and family generational wealth with our ALA participants.
