As Program Specialist and Coordinator at the AACSA FRC, Cathy Blake’s role is to bridge families with infant to 5-year-old children to services and resources of programs that assist with theireducational and developmental well-being. At the FRC, Cathy leads the Baby Care Program, which provides clothes and other essential items for children and toddlers. The FRC provides parenting classes and workshops, offers programs encouraging reading and literacy, and connects families to resources that help them with basic needs such as food.
A native Californian, Cathy grew up in Vallejo. She is a San Jose State University graduate with a B.A. in Public Relations. Before joining the AACSA FRC, Cathy worked at Maranatha Faith-based Re-Entry Center, which assists people who have been released from incarceration to getreacclimated into society. In addition, she has worked at a few of the top Fortune 50 high-tech companies in Silicon Valley. She is a proud member of Eta Phi Beta Business and Professional Women's Sorority, Inc., and one of her mottos to live by is,” It’s always darkest right before the dawn."
