As an operations intern at the African American Community Services Agency (AACSA), Avery is dedicated to making meaningful contributions to the empowerment and uplifting of the African American community in Silicon Valley. Avery works to support the agency's mission to preserve the dignity and culture of a diverse African American Community, and to provide services that promote the full participation of Santa Clara County and the general society.
Avery is a student leader for the AACSA Leadership Academy (ALA) program, where he helpsrising students navigate their journey to college. In addition to his internship, he is deeply passionate about education and mentorship. He serves as a tutor, leveraging his academic prowess and passion for learning to support students in reaching their full potential. While pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering at San Jose State University, he is involved in various academic and social organizations, including the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES). Additionally, he is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., where he actively engages in community service and leadership development initiatives.
