LaNikka (Nikki) Bass is the virtual Executive Assistant at AACSA. She’s a California nativecurrently living on the East Coast. She earned a B.A. in Communication and an M.A. in Education. Continuing her quest to learn new skills and increase knowledge, Nikki looks forward to pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Technology with the goal of using technology to improve educational outcomes. Closing the digital divide in her community is a cause that is very important to her. Actively embracing this cause, she volunteers to teach technology skills at local community centers, libraries, and senior citizen centers. In a previous role, she participated on the Digital Inclusion Board where she advocated for policy change at the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, DC to increase access to technology in rural and urban areas.
A natural-born helper, she has been volunteering with the American Red Cross for many years. When she is not busy working on making the world a better place, Nikki likes to explore new cultures, try new foods, and meet new people through her love of travel. With her passion for adventure and heart for service, she brings a sense of warmth and joy wherever she goes and is the kind of person who can brighten up any room.
